New profile picture, update

Hey, so I decided to change my profile picture.  I decided to choose the Creekwalk in Vacaville.  Why?  Because this is the place where Richard asked me to marry him.  I thought since this was the starting part of my family, I figures it was appropriate.

Now, on to the kids.  Cinco and Jango celebrated Thanksgiving at my in-laws this year.  They had a good time over there as usual.  I got sick, but I figure it is because of the pregnancy and my asthma was acting up.

Cinco is learning to sing the alphabet song.  He figured out that Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and the alphabet song have the same tune, so sometimes he sings them together.  He gets most of the letters, but loves to play with his Sesame Street school bus to learn his letters.  now we need to work on lower case as well as capital letters.

Jango is picking up words left and right.  He also picked up the same bad word that Cinco picked up from his daddy.  Richard was mad and cursed out loud, and Jango repeated the word back.  We went to visit the in-laws yesterday, and luckily he didn’t say the word until after we left.  The word would, of course, be “fuck”.  I haven’t heard him say it since then, but I’m sure it will come up when I don’t want it to.

Baby #3 is doing good and I go to the doctor Monday to see how everything is going.  I am supposedly due May 29th, but i figure I’ll have another June baby since every child I have had has been late.  But of course, every child is different.  So we shall see.  My sister in law is due about two weeks before me, so we’ll have to see about how we are going to handle each other’s deliveries.  Heck, we may deliver the same time!  Wouldn’t that be funny!

Well, that’s it in a nut shell.  Richard is doing all right considering that he doesn’t like his job and that his business isn’t doing as well as we would have liked.  But he’s got us, and that’s important to him.  Christmas will be good for him.

So I realize it has been a little while since I have updated this here blog, so I decided to take a little time to write here what has been going the last few weeks.  Lets start with Jango’s birthday party.

Jango had a fabulous birthday party.  Quite a few people showed up to the shindig.  He got lots of clothes and toys, and many thanks to those who came or got him a gift or both.  We were invited to another birthday, but unfortunately unable to attend.  But Happy 2nd Birthday to Jaiden nevertheless.

Then one week later was my birthday.  For those who care, I turned 26.  I got lunch from my mother at Chili’s where I order fajitas (which I always order at Chili’s) and got a Nintendo DS.  Blue, of course.  (It’s my favorite color.)  We also went to Target and the kids got a few things.  Then when Richard got home form work, he and I had Jack in the Box.  I got egg rolls, which are surprisingly good even though they are from a fast food place known for burgers and such.

Two days after that, Richard and I celebrated four years of marriage.  Unfortunately we were broke, so we didn’t do anything for our anniversary.  But being with the kids and having fun with them was a gift itself.

Then it was Independence Day.  We drove around Vacaville before heading to the in-laws for a BBQ.  It was really good, and once again I showed the in-laws that this girl can eat!

Three days later, my sister celebrated her birthday alone.  For those of you who don’t know, my dad shared a birthday with my sister.  She didn’t celebrate it all that much because she had to work, but she did get lunch from her friend and my mother took her to the Olive Garden for dinner.  I also know some of her friends got her some gifts.  I’m sure she’ll tell me what they are at a later date.  She may be celebrating her birthday today.

And now tomorrow is my mother’s birthday.  We had originally made plans for the Flores side of family to stop by, but they didn’t know it was my mother’s birthday tomorrow.  So plans are up in the air.  I guess I will find out later today.

Richard has been working non-stop at either work or trying to get the business up off the ground.  Obviously I got mad about it, partly because he spent his days off working, and partly because he never delegates anything to me, who happens to be an owner of the business too.  But we will have business cards soon as well as office wear.  I think Richard wants to put the company logo on the shirt, but I hope to model it soon and show a picture of me in it.  We are also now a member of the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce.  We are moving things along.  Now we are mass advertising the business.

So that’s it so far.  Keeping busy this month.  August doesn’t offer as much excitement, ie birthdays, holidays, etc., but I am hoping that it will just as eventful.  Monotony sucks big time.  I hope to update sooner next time.  Hope everyone is staying cool and not breathing in fire fumes!

It’s been a while!

Sorry I haven’t been updating on a regualr basis, but handling two kids at home can be overwhelming at times.  Luckily they are both taking naps (at the same time!!!) so I have some time to type down what’s going on with the boys.

For those who care to know, the boys were involved in a CPS matter that involved me and Richard.  Both families got involved in the process, while Richard’s parents got custody of the kids from late March until Early June, when our case was finally thrown out by a judge.  It was for medical reasons, and it was based out of Sacramento County, where I used to live.  Needless to say, I was not myself the last three months without them, and felt a great deal better with them back at home!

Cinco now likes to say he loves something after we ask him if he likes it, ie me: do you like candy?  cinco: I love candy.  He does it almost every time you ask him.  He is really into dragons.  He’s got quite a few, not to mention that Richard added a new one to his collection.  He loves to play with Jango and make him laugh.  I enjoy watching the kids laugh together.  It’s the best sound in the world.

Jango is still trying to walk on his own, and it is only a matter of time before it happens.  It might be after his first birthday, but it should be soon after.  Maybe on my birthday!  He is also trying to say “duck” and we believe he said “up” the other day.  He likes to growl with his brother, even though he is not very loud when he does it, and cracks up when you say ball to him or imitate what he is doing.  It’s hard to believe that he’ll be one right around the corner.  This is why I have more than one kid!

Richard and I are getting our Private Patrol Operation number in the mail soon so we will be able to have mobile security.  It is a state required license we need to have to do patrol security.  Now we can write contracts for companies or people interested in having security on thier premises or patroling at certain intervals, and then we can start hiring people.  Richard has been working on the business whenever he can to make sure everything is the way he wants it.  I will be helping out and handling some of the paperwork we are sure to have.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads out there.  You are always appreciated.

Sorry it has been a while since I have last updated the family blog, but a lot has gone on in the last few weeks, and I didn’t feel like blogging every little detail.  Just the big ones.

My kids sent me flowers on Saturday, the day before Mother’s Day.  A dozen stargazers.  It is really pretty.  I took some pictures, but I am not on the right computer to download the pictures, so it will be posted on a later blog entry.

Cinco likes to repeat everything we say.  Literally.  He is really interested in a book all about dragons.  He points out all the main characters, all the dragons which are hidden in the book, which there are at least seventy, and the animals, especially an owl that appeared almost throughout the book.  I always say hoot hoot! every time he mentions it so he knows what owls say, and occasionally he repeats it.  He is very interested in books, something that I think he picked up from his mother.  He got a new book from his uncle that he likes too.  My son the book worm!

Jango so badly wants to walk.  He takes every opportunity that I am sitting on the floor to use me as a piece of furniture to help him stand on his feet.  Occasionally I’ll put him on the couch so he can hold himself up by himself as well as play with some of his toys on the couch.  We do practice walking all the time, and I believe it is only a matter of time before he just walks on his own.    He loves to chase his brother by crawling rather quiclky or using him as a way to try to stand.  It doesn’t always work, and Cinco sometimes doesn’t understand what his younger brother is doing, but after a little bit of time, he giggles and plays along.

Richard has his business license and the website is up.  He is still waiting for his PPO, but he has to test for it first and pay an additional fee.  Then he can patrol and write contracts and eventually hire people.  The website is www.extraeyessecurity.com. It is still a work in  progress, but you can get the idea.

I had a good weekend, and I am hoping there are more good weekends and weeks to come.
