I forgot to mention the wedding!

My sister-in-law got married almost three weeks ago, and the ceremony was great.  It was also short, which was good because it was hot!  C and J were ring bearers.  J was being held by his daddy, and C rode in the wagon while his dad pulled it.  This was the only way they would have cooperated for the ceremony.  They went down the aisle first.

They either sat down or stood for the ceremony, and behaved very well.  They didn’t make any noise during the vows and the rings, and we were the last ones to leave the area in which the ceremony was held.  The female photographer (there were two photographers: one male and one female) took a picture of the whole family together.  I’m hoping to get a copy of this picture to hang in the house soon.

C and J took off their suit jackets and played a little bit in the reception area before eating some food.  They both had macaroni and cheese with strawberries.  Then when the DJ had mothers and daughters dance together, I got to dance with my boys.  It was fun.

The kids did get rambunctious after dancing and eating, but part of that was because of some of the other kids.  They were very well behaved, and because of that, we got them cookies from McDonald’s.
We then went to the in-laws for an after party, and when the kids were starting to get out of hand and act tried, we went home and put them to bed.  Overall, my children were angels and looked like little gentlemen for the wedding.  My sister-in-law was happy to be married, albeit parts of her ceremony didn’t go according to plan, but she loved having the kids in her wedding party.  Maybe they will be in another wedding in the future.  But only time will tell…

C and J update

So both kids had a Dr. appointment yesterday afternoon.  Both appts. went rather well, considering that Richard is still not very trustworthy of doctor considering what has happened, and I am as well to a certain degree.

There is nothing wrong with J’s head.  Even with a big bruise on his head which he created because he head butts and runs into things, the doctor just figured he did it and asked about his development, and he was ahead of schedule, just like his big brother.  He got three shots and  hemoglobin test, which was normal.  He didn’t cry about the needle, but he did once the vax was in his thigh.  But he calmed down rather quickly, as he always does.  J weighs 23 lbs.  and is 30 1/4 inches long now.

C’s face is almost completely healed, except for a stubborn patch on his chin.  We do the prescription medicine for his eczema for the recommended amount, even with not treating it for a week so the eczema doesn’t get used to the medicine and it not work, but his chin would just start to heal and not get better.  So Richard asked about it, and we could put it on for a month on his chin now instead of 2 weeks.  Hopefully that make it clear up.  He took a hearing test, or tried to, but he didn’t understand what we were asking him to do, so it didn’t work out.  They are supposed to attempt it at his age, but I’m sure he’ll better understand it next year.  He got one shot, and he thought he was in trouble when he got it.   I explained to him why he got poked,  and then he got over it quickly.  He went first because he only had one vax versus J’s three, and Richard took one kid out of the room at a time.  That way only one is upset at a time, not both of them.  Richard also hates to watch them get shots.  C is now a little over 27 lbs. (I thought he weighed more) and he is 35 inches long.  Little bro is catching up to big bro!

So both boys appts.  went well.  They behaved very well and got books from the doctor.  They were playing in the room while the doctor was talking to us.  And as soon as we got home, they took a nap.  It was a productive afternoon.

The three year old!

So Cinco is now three.  I didn’t realize how quickly children grow up and how old I must be getting.  He is doing so much at such a young age I forget that he can go to preschool and that he is going to go to school in a couple of years.  He had a family get together for his birthday.  We had a few friends over too.  He got some clothes, a bowling set, and some playground balls.  He ate pizza and his cake.  He blew out hus candle three times because he didn’t wait until we sang Happy Birthday to blow it out, so Richard had to relight it.  It was a great day.

On a Jango note, he is learning the “f” sound, and he says everything is a dog or a duck.  Oh well.  Progress can sometimes be slow.  But he knows cars and hi.  He loves to play with his big brother and hug his family.

Now to be with my hubby before going to bed.
