thanks for asking!
Cinco enjoys playing with anything and everything. He wants to read every book he owns, but so far he can only look at the pictures. He loves to play with his daddy, even if it means climbing on top of him. He is curious and cautious, even if it something as simple as petting a cat. He loves being outdoors, and looking at trees and flowers, and even picking some for his mommy. He had fun meeting his great aunt in Chico yesterday and is very well behaved, saying please and thank you. He is always learning, so you have to be careful what you say around him.
Jango is very close to walking. He just turned eleven months old yesterday. He has started to move down furniture to get to where he needs to go. He has a big appetite, and will eat whenever he sees someone else eats. He loves to play with his brother, even climb on him, even if Cinco doesn’t like it. He has gotten fast at his commando crawl, and likes to chase after his grandfather in the kitchen whenever he leaves or does the dishes. He plays with any toy he can get his hands on. He is learning to recognize his name, and he is good at waving hello or goodbye.
They are getting big so fast! Cinco will be three in September and Jango is one month away from being a year old. So maybe in another year I’ll have another child. We shall see.

So for those who do not have children, I believe you don’t know what you are missing. My kids are my world. Sure, they can be needy and take a lot of time, effort, and of course money, to take care of them, but they are honestly worth it. I never knew how much love I could have for one person until I had my first son, and I was overwhelmed with so much joy and happiness that I cried when he came out of the womb and into the world. I could honestly say Richard felt the same way I did and cried too. The same thing happened with my second son.
Now, I am not suggesting that every female should have children. I think aunts, uncles, grandparents, and babysitters know what I’m talking about as well as mothers and fathers. I knew having kids was worth it when I heard my oldest say I love you and when he remembered what I taught him. I love giving and getting hugs from my kids. I love being depended on for anything and everything. I think some people don’t understand why I would do everything for my kids. They mean the world to me. They brighten up even the worst day. My kids made me feel better after my father passed away because just looking into their faces and sharing in their joy can turn any sour puss into a happy person. I can now also see why people want to have so many kids! Now if I can only keep them as little as possible…

Sorry it has been a while since I have last updated the family blog, but a lot has gone on in the last few weeks, and I didn’t feel like blogging every little detail. Just the big ones.
My kids sent me flowers on Saturday, the day before Mother’s Day. A dozen stargazers. It is really pretty. I took some pictures, but I am not on the right computer to download the pictures, so it will be posted on a later blog entry.
Cinco likes to repeat everything we say. Literally. He is really interested in a book all about dragons. He points out all the main characters, all the dragons which are hidden in the book, which there are at least seventy, and the animals, especially an owl that appeared almost throughout the book. I always say hoot hoot! every time he mentions it so he knows what owls say, and occasionally he repeats it. He is very interested in books, something that I think he picked up from his mother. He got a new book from his uncle that he likes too. My son the book worm!
Jango so badly wants to walk. He takes every opportunity that I am sitting on the floor to use me as a piece of furniture to help him stand on his feet. Occasionally I’ll put him on the couch so he can hold himself up by himself as well as play with some of his toys on the couch. We do practice walking all the time, and I believe it is only a matter of time before he just walks on his own. He loves to chase his brother by crawling rather quiclky or using him as a way to try to stand. It doesn’t always work, and Cinco sometimes doesn’t understand what his younger brother is doing, but after a little bit of time, he giggles and plays along.
Richard has his business license and the website is up. He is still waiting for his PPO, but he has to test for it first and pay an additional fee. Then he can patrol and write contracts and eventually hire people. The website is www.extraeyessecurity.com. It is still a work in progress, but you can get the idea.
I had a good weekend, and I am hoping there are more good weekends and weeks to come.
